making guild leader life easier
« on: August 16, 2003, 04:06:30 am »
hi u all!!
i\'ve just read you faq\'s and i had this idea:
(sorry if it\'s a re-post)

if guild leaders are supposed to have a web-page and maintain it (we all know how that consumes time and can be a real pain) why don\'t you guys just create a nice php (maybe) interface so that he only has to insert his stats (or whatever), and that webpage would be on your servers with the design you want (or you can let the guild leader choose between a set of them or even give them a chance to rebuild the page based on the updating mechanism you guys already offer him)

I imagine this would be very time consuming and you\'ll probably let this matter slide further into the future.

well... that is all... keep up the amazing work :)
(and sorry for any bad english)

Face ;)

I think it would be nice for someone to build a guild
website management system for use by PS guilds.  However, I don\'t think it is a task for the PS dev team.

Hmm.

Making life easier for guild leaders, a dont know about that.

But seriously as there are limits on minimum number of members ect. a well run guild would delegate tasks or whole areas to the different members in the guild including maintaining the webpage in effect doing as you said.

Hmm, nah, not a good idea, if a guild is too lazy to even make own webpages, which isn\'t too hard, they don\'t deserve to call themselves a guild...

My point exactly. As long as the guild can be bothered as a whole then they should be alright. If not then there guild will die.

hehe - things like website design and the quality of your computer and internet connection are the \'real life\' aspect of gaming people... we cant all have uber computers and connections - but if you want those you have to either face the challenges of real life and get a job you lazy bastard!

Edit - I\'m unemployed though so I guess I\'m not the best person to preach this :P
