About lag... agin!
« on: August 19, 2003, 10:13:11 am »
The game is very laggy! Everything was good before I instaled Windows XP and added more RAM (+128Mb).  Now i am able to play ~ 1min and then the lag starts. I instaled the newest drivers! Can someone help me?

My comp:
Athlon XP+ 2000
256Mb DDR
GeeForce 2 MX200
Windows XP
DirectX 9
ADSL 256/64

P.S. I know that my grammer is bad, and my spelling is even worse.
A new day, a new failure!

I think it might be the ps server. I get a bit of lagg after a min or so. It seems to be worse on WinXP systems. Maybe the lagg is caused by the difference in players net speed. We range between 2mb/s to 28.8kb/s.

My comp:
AthlonXP 3200+
1.5Gb DDR
Radeon 9700
Win XP Home
ADSL 2Mb/s

Seriously, dont click his link.
And, there is NOTHING wrong with the server. Any lag comes from your computer or the client. Try changing some of the settings in order to make it run more smoothly.

I alredy tryed to change the settings in psclient.cfg, but nothing helps! I guess Planeshift dosent like WinXP. My last hope is the next release.

Well, Molecular Blue takes a lot of ram, a lot of ram. The next release, Crystal Blue, will run more on your graphics-card.
