Sorry to start a new thread on this, but is there already a discussion about the combat system for PS?  If there is, admins, feel free to delete this thread.  If not, I\'d love to hear more about the how combat will work.  I love throwing ideas around, but I\'ll wait to see if there\'s a better place to do it.

actually, i did search, and found 3000 threads...  was hoping someone could direct me to the most active one.  anyway, feel free to delete this thread.

Right now the combat is simple.  There is none.  you pick up crystals and turn them in for points towards weapons.

When combat is available it will be a skill system.  Each ability will have its own stat.  Planeshift is not the onlyone doing this.  When you successfully dodge an attack then your dodge skill will go up. Just like when you successfully bake a cake and your baking skill goes up.  You will have an option of how you attack  (Agresive or defensive), and I don\'t believe it be necessary to aim.

I don\'t know how many skills there will be, but you could have dozens.  The developers have to make the system first.  It is not done yet.

Don\'t even think about the PK issue without reading the seperate section in the wish list form.  .  The important point is that with a free MMORPG you can not control griefers by killing there account.  You have to control it in game by \"carebearing\" it.
