In-Game Dueling Arena's

I don\'t know if u guys have heard of a TV show called Yu-Gi-Oh? ( if u haven\'t > http://www.yugioh.com )

but i was thinking, what if we had like a main sport/game in the PlaneShift world, where people collect cards from all over the levels of the Stalectite, and use them in battles to win items, cards or money...

Duel Monsters is a card-battling game in which players pit different mystical creatures against one another in wild, magical duels! Packed with awesome monsters and mighty spell-cards, Yugi and his friends are totally obsessed with the game.

still maintain the PvP battle system but have this as a kind of sport in planeshift, and have huge tournaments, to win big prize-money or magical items?....

Oh god, i hate yugioh..... tho if u want duels, we could at least make it realistic. Like in the 17th and 18th centuries when two guy came out with guns or swords(that would probly work better for PS) and fought to the death. Thats better than some gay kid playing cards to save the world.

Flip2k i don\'t mean to mock you, but haven\'t we seen this before?
Try your idea from a different angle, like a mini card game played by the in game characters, or whatever way you can think up.
Keep the ideas coming I post some myself and not every one agrees but hey no one has to!

i think the point was making those cards actually summon something :/
like in Etherlords...
Not that making collectable card game in Planeshift would be such a good idea :P

....... rofl ..... or we could switch from crystal hunt to Pokemon hunt as well

well, i don\'t think a collectable card game is gonna go over too well, but what if i want to go to kada el\'s and gamble away a few tria?  or i guess we could just use dice, or something simple to code.

bleach... i barf when i think of all the final fantasy card games... they are all so lame i mean my god... eh if we have any card games like that on planeshift i myself and petitioning the game to stop the spread of such evil. sorry flip2k ur cool and stuff but realy its not too good of an idea.... i mean cmon yugio? or however you spell it... its so... bleh...8o < barf!

ok well i just want to add if u put time into this in game mini game. y wouldn\'t u put this time into the actual game?? i mean wats funner hey my card beats urs or *smack* i chalenge u to a duel u pansy.  :) then u fight instead of ur wussy cards fighting for u i agree with whemy
