« on: December 31, 2003, 01:22:07 am »
I don\'t know why this isn\'t working, but whenever I connect it has NO problems with anything else, but its been sat there, for the last hour, saying

Loading:
Loading basic textures
Initializing character

like that ^^^^ for over an hour, almost an hour and 1/4 now. Why the hell is it torturing me like this?!

The first time you load the game, it takes significantly longer than every time you load the game after that.  I\'ve heard that for some people the first load can take a couple hours.

After that the loading time should be a couple minutes or less.

If it still isn\'t loaded after a couple hours please post your computer specs, (speed, RAM, video card, OS, etc.).

I\'m using Linux and have the same problem, and there is it a \"segmentation fault\" (look at my \"segmentation faul - what is a segmentation fault?\"-thread).

But there, not the system is freezed.
Only the program crushed (and will be auto-killed by the system) and in the console stands something about segmentation faults.

Please look at my thread, to know about this problem under Linux.
