ya i know where ur coming from, but if theres gonna be limits on how high your going to get skills i think sometime or another its needed to help things along, so ppl dont get too powerful, but then again it sucks if ur gimp and cant get alot of exp in a day :S, and annoying if u can get the requirements in 1-3 kills easy

You\'ll only lose it if you\'re neglecting it. So you\'ll have to think well before choosing another class or skill or whatever since you might not be able to level up the other skills too...

ya, those are good answers for those questions, skill degration i can see happending, cause that way it helps prevent uber players from being too over powering in a way, hardly any but still its a small burden in a way, but if its gonna be realistic then its needed cause i know ppl forget stuff all the time

I think skill degredation is a great idea!! But it should be very subtle. Like only 2 points every 30 points with another weapon/magic, or other skill. I mean if i play guitar for 3 years im not going to forgethow to play a if i dont pick it up for a year. Ive done it before. After a month I was better than i was 3 years ago. Muscle memory stays with you untill you die, no reason to exclude it from characters in a game.

If skills degredation is going to be in it should be done carefully. If you used a sword and were good at it, then went to a mace, you shouldn\'t lose sword skills that quickly because you are still using some of the skills from your sword in the fight. Maybe you would lose skills in a thrust. I can\'t see someone running around with a mace thrusting it at the enemies like you would with a sword, it wouldn\'t work to well... But you would swing it like you swing a sword.  And so on. If you went from warrior to mage then I can see it going down quicker because you won\'t be using the skill much or at all. But if your still in the same general idea, it should degrade slower, or only some parts of it should degrad.

err it sounds nice on paper but thats a little too complex for my tastes. I mean the game mechanics would be so confusing...
