« on: February 25, 2004, 03:15:22 am »
i downloaded all the parts i put them together with the reassmbler and i double clicked the planeshift icon, it says this:

installer corrupted or incomplete

this could be the result of a virus or imcomplete download.

what do i do? i scanned for viruses and there was none. now what?

If after the download you experience problems in running the installer program, be sure that the size of the file you have matches the size above.

For Windows ONLY: You can also check if the file you downloaded is exactly the same as the one we have here downloading this tool.

These are the md5 signatures for the WIndows files:

PSV0.2.010.Part1: 598d3de9b925f94f6327bfa4ce45326b
PSV0.2.010.Part2: 3efab6d2eb8bd55f9ef02a6d7029411b
PSV0.2.010.Part3: a2754a8c024d1a90cbef4db8248db649
PSV0.2.010.Part4: 8ec033d42c7d7667734591671ce44478
PSV0.2.010.Part5: 0a45a48de4761bce7732e8eef0f2aef3

If it does not match with yours, redownload that part.

It suggests two things. Viruses, or a corrupted download. What do you think you should try next?

I don\'t understand at all your first post, i\'ll try to help you according on the second.

Well, if it is not a virus, it is ...

Yes, you got it: it\'s a corrupted download :P

Try to redownload the files, check the md5sum like Axsyrus suggested. It\'s probably a good idea to change your download manager or if you use none, use one.

(it\'s probably also a good idea to remove Windows and try Linux, but this is completely off-topic and this sentence is absolutely useless and stupid... i\'m just in a weird day :D)
