No Spam in my PlaneShift, if you please

I posted this to an old thread a few days ago (the one where Vengeance answered some questions about the upcoming CB release), but nobody responded, so I\'m re-posting it here.

(Regarding things I like about PS):

And, of course, I like the fact that it\'s free, and that it\'s guaranteed to stay that way. There is one concern I have in this department, though--what about advertisements? There\'s nothing in any of Planeshift\'s documentation, agreements, or licenses that says they can\'t sell advertising space, and I wouldn\'t put it past anybody (especially anybody from a capitalist nation, such as my own) to pull in some profits for the \"Non-profit organization,\" start pocketing a salary, and let the gamers suffer with in-game advertisements.

Can anybody put this fear to rest? I won\'t believe it\'s not going to happen until it gets put into the company\'s official documentation.

AFAIR, there was already some discussion about that too (several times even), and the devs said that they don\'t intend to put any ads in the PS world

and the devs obviously don\'t need the money from advertisment since:
- there\'s no ad-banners on the PS webpage
- they don\'t have nor want a PayPal account, although quite a few players have already told them that they\'re willing to donate.

Trust me, if the devs need money for anything, whatever that might be I have no clue, they will tell people about it first, and it\'ll most likely start out with donations. Other things might be included such as selling of PS merchandise, but let\'s not worry about that. We will get a notice if anything happens on that part.
