Cant open Planeshift!!

Hi there!
I so need help with planeshift! I have no good game that i like here and most of them surely need to be reinstalled.
Its just that after i\'ve downloaded every file to one and the same direction, ran the run_me_first file and clicked on the planeshiftV0.2.0.1.0 a message came up!
Its too bad that i dont know how to put up the message on this message but i said:

Installer corrupted or incomplete
This could be the result of a failed download or corruption from a virus.
If desperate, try the /NCRC command line switch (NOT RECOMMENDED)

I have absoluteley no idea what this NCRC is and please help me. Im sure that i dont have any viruses in my PC!

HI Tucharam!

The CRC is a Checksum algorithm that ensures that there are no errors during download on your files..
as in your case there might have occured some errors you should check your files with the program md5sum which is also available on the homepage.
to do so u have to download this program in the folder with your other files and then u have to open your shell(command-line).
there u should go to your folder using the \"cd..\" and \"cd \" orders.  If you are in the correct path(where your psclientfiles and the md5sum files are) you can type in the shell \"md5sum PSV0.2.010.Part1\". If you made this correct there should appear a number which you can compare with the one listed on the Homepage

if the numbers are correct then u can also type in the same folder in the shell this : \"PlaneShiftV0.2.010.exe /NCRC\"
and it should function..

Harry: I hate to be presumtuous, but if he is confused by \"your download may be corrupt\", then I have little hope for him understanding your solution.


Tucharam, try Harry\'s suggestion to see if any of your .part files are corrupt. If you don\'t understand what you\'re doing, I\'d suggest re-downloading all of the files and trying again. Do not use a download manager, such as GetRight or FlashGet, as these programs have been known to cause problems.

If you still receive the same error, you can download the full installation file here. This file is all the .part files already combined, and is around 100mb to download.
