Shifting quest

Hello,

I just thought it would be nice because i know from playing many other games that they become boring and continuous after a while.. and maybe to ensure that this doesnt happen in this game. (Admin) will create a shifting quest which they create them selfs.. so that way its always different...

Concept in detail!
1) The admin would set the level for the quest (so players #-# only)

2) It would be set in a make shift town.. so it would be smaller or just a flat section of the current town.

3) the Admin would write the story line for the quest and set the levels of the monsters..

4) the admin would also set the names of the npcs to match there shifting quest.. I.E if it were a hollywood film they could name them brad pit, meg rien.. (basicly what ever they wanted)

5) they would also set the quest so that you would have to kill a group of monsters (set at a certain lvl to be challenging for the players) and on the monsters body would be an item (scroll, note, letter, message) and the admin would set the message of the note to say Deliver this letter to Brad pit (the npc) so the player would fight there way through the monsters and hand the note to the npc (or just getting the note in general would be good) and then at the end the admin would end the shifting quest and depending on how many monsters and notes each player has they would get exp.. the more notes and monsters killed the more exp..

Because i cant base it on the current version for obvious reason its a bit based on other games... but the concept of it isnt bad.. and once the game is updated ill edit the post and base it on the game for you..

but hopefully your be able to get a rough idea of what i mean..

Player made and GM made quests will be part of PlaneShift eventually. How this works it for the GM / Player who makes the quest to decide, however don\'t expect \"go kill 30 X mobs and get uber d00d armor of l33tness\". That\'s not a quest, that\'s an rather boring errand of no significance at all. They will be in the game as well, just not in that scale and if a Player suggests such a \"quest\", they will not be done, as the general player has no clue what they\'re suggesting when it comes to this. Thus means a general player is the only person who would suggest such a thing, as a wiser player would suggest something bigger and better.

To make it simple, your wish is planned.

im rather confused in which the way you worded that post.. for the most part it sounded to me that you were insulting me and my sugestion but to the end you say it is planned thus it couldnt be that of a stupid/newbie idea...

That\'s part of the problem with posting on a forum, we say so much that you have to deal with talking to 3+ people at once, so in this grono was talking more to other newbies than you. Altho she could have pointed out that you mention levels which PS doesn\'t have(you raise skills and stuff directly by doing stuff). So she was annoyed that you didn\'t do your homework.. but you still came up with a decent idea, even if it was already thought of years ago
Good luck on getting used to planeshift, as you see it\'s a bit different from your average game. I hope to see what suggestions you come up with in the future.

yes im very soory to all of the players but i am new to this game and i am a fast learner and i did specifie that i dont know a lot about the game currently and thats why i suggested once i had learnt more about it that i will edit and adapt it.. = D

thats one of the many great things about ps is that its not like all of the other rpgs.. its why i love it so much.. its completly different and holds many more challenges... a small suggestion though..

eventually you may think of becoming p2p i suggest to be fair to the many loyal members that if this were to happen you dont dampen there game play and still keep and updated free to play part of the game for those who dont want to play..

(i used to own a help site for pt and i got many emails of complaints about that and i wouldnt want to see the same here)

Wether or not you are going to impliment a p2p area or not it was still worth me bringing it up..

You might want to read the website... missing a detail ike how no levels is one thing, but that PS will always be free is an important point.
