whats happening?

i download planeshift, and creat a new character. i then chose connect and enter my name and password. it then goes to this screen which says things like \"receiving world\" so im like ok and i wait 10 minutes, and nothing happened! the music is lagging so i dont know if its the speed of my computer, or server problems. plz help me! i really want to play because my friend told me it was cool!

Apparently, it has token up to 1 hour for some people to download the world, and rarely under 30 min. (even if just 1min. for me...).
It\'s due to your computer, it doesn\'t download the world each time, it\'s already in your hd.

It tooks about one minute for me also, but i\'ve got the music lag too.
So that i think the music lag and the speed of the world loading are different problems.

um...i think the music lag has something to do with ur sound card or the plugins...cuz i get \'warning\' messages in the debug file of not being able to load up their sound plugins
