Hi
try to get Planeshift running under Linux (Fedora Core 2).
At first some suggestions, making the Linux Client easier to install:
1: The Client should look for libGL.so too, currently her looks just for libopengl.so
2: I\'m using a Multiscreen Enviroment (1 Geforce Quadro 4000 for 3D-Developement, one ATI 7000 for just displaying things. The Problem is, the Screen on the Left Side (relative Position 0) does not support 3D, where the Second Screen does (relative Position 1024).
Means, to play the Game, i\'ve to disable the screen on the Left. This is not going to be funny. (But i do not expect you\'re fixing this for me)
3: The updater looks for libssl.so.0.9.6 and libcryto.so.0.9.6, i had to set an symbolic link to libssl.so and libcrypto.so to get this thing to work.
4: This looks more like a bug for me. Starting creating a new Char takes very long, the screen freezes for about 5 minutes, then starts Displaing the race pictures (where i am missing some female ones, thought this is ok?)
5: The Version (as psclient says) is something like 0.2.008. Sounds like this is not ok. If i want to play (connect to a server), the client quits after loading cs\' TYPE Plugin (crystalspace.mesh.object.emit) with the Message \"Warning! Object \'_p_laanx_entrance2hydlaa_plaza\' is not closes and gives me an memory access error
\'./psclient: line 6: 24511 Speicherzugriffsfehler ./psclient-bin
thats it for now. hope you\'ll find a solution for 5 so i can play the game, too
