Nah, I don\'t think the devs are a good choice of judge. We need a group of people from the community who know the people and the guilds well. Developers don\'t tend to get involved intimitely in this way.

I\'ll spend some time considering who to ask, but for now I\'m gonna wait for CB.

I hope that we can wake this idea back up. Due to the recent issue of leadership change among the mercs (see here ), we are now in need of webspace. Our former leader Zephyrus cannot transfer control of http://www.darkzephyr.plus.com, and I think, and probably many others will think, that ours is exactly the guild you want to help with this offer. We desperately need it.


I hope that you will choose The Mercenary Guild: chances are we meet all the possible criteria that you could have. Zephyrus\' decision to change leadership illustrates the determination of the guild. None of us want to see this guild fall apart.

its nice to see there are still organisations out there motivated by a desire to see the quality of the gaming industry and its support increase rather than by profit

if everyone acted like that we wouldnt have all these clones of once popular game concepts that have been thoroughly flogged to death.. neither would we have games re-released year after year with only the year on the title changed

u peeps at fragnetics and planeshift are a rare but very welcome breed :)

Hiya guys, sorry for letting this escape my attention for so long. Fragnetics is still offering the webspace and I asked Chris to come here and reply personally, so you should see things getting sorted out soon. I\'m not the best person when it comes to being a messenger. :P

(Oh, and I forgot that the Arcane Order already had webspace, so a note to Chris: ...they already have webspace. :P)

Mogura asked me to post on the forum and ask for the guilds interested in webspace to contact me directly. You can drop me an e-mail by filling up our contact form at http://www.fragnetics.com/contact.php . Fill in your e-mail address, put the Subject as \"Fragnetics PlaneShift Guild Webspace Hosting\" and I\'ll process these applications.

Since there aren\'t a large number of clans keen on this service (and since we have some capacity) we\'ll set up accounts for up to 3 guilds.

So far Mogura has mentioned the Arcane Order and Mercenary Guild. Arcane Order looks like they\'ve got what they need (so I\'m not really sure what you need unless you\'re actually paying for a service).

I\'ve been really busy with other things so I haven\'t been keeping myself updated with every PlaneShift event, but I can assure you that this webspace offer still holds.

Our web server supports PHP and MySQL. No custom CGI Scripts or anything fanciful, but from our experience PHP and MySQL has been more than enough. For domains hosted with us we will grant unlimited e-mail addresses. The only limitations are 50MB of webspace (for PlaneShift-related stuff) and e-mail combined, a 1-time setup of subdomains if required, and 1 MySQL account.

Just a reminder that we will only process applications endorsed by Mogura  :D . The reason is that we don\'t want to have guilds who don\'t need the webspace and yet are hosted on our server.

Happy to say that Rebirth has received one of the three spots from Fragnetics. Thanks a million guys *bows* we will use the space well.

EDIT: Our current site will be transfered there soon enough and then go through another update :P
