That depends on to what extent you altered the original image\'s defining properties. If you just changed brightness and colors, then it\'s against the rules.
If you, however, erased the original fur markings and made your own, then it\'s reasonably different and wouldn\'t constitute a derived work anymore, since the outlines and positions in fact are a technical necessity and don\'t factor in the originality of the artist\'s creation. However, the clothing might still be sufficiently identical to sue you.
