Too variable xp
« on: January 08, 2005, 10:35:23 am »
XP points from monsters too variable.
I was killing tefusangs (the weak ones) and the xp was like:
You gained 50 xp
You gained 62 xp and 1 pp
you gained 5243xp and 22 pp --> WTF
you gained 46 xp
you gained 54 xp

I\'m not complaining about that but it surely seems to be a bug. (too bad I can\'t use them with my limited amount of cash)

I think the xp depends of how you kill the monster.

There is a bug, as reported in another thread.

Without the bug: Exp depends on damage inflicted. Characters regenerate hit points so depending on whether you miss a few times, some minor variability makes sense. The exp explosion you saw is just a bug though.

On the topic of regaining health.

The health bar on mosters has been doing odd things for me.  Some times it wont move, some times it bounces back and forth, sometimes after taking huge hits, the bar starts refilling at an insane pace.

There is also the problem of rats jumping around, but that is a differnt bug.
