The Story of BISM and Kiern
« on: April 21, 2002, 10:20:30 pm »
(ooc: this is kinda long but i hope you read it and like it, please comment on it, since it is going on my site)

His mother and father being unsuccesful in life, Kiern was force to live on the streets as a child.  As he grew older his father died amd his mother became sick.  To survive Kiern was force to join a theiving organization called Rzkliel\'s Own,  Rzkliel himself being the leader of the thieves.  Rzkliel\'s Own was known by everyone and greatly admired and feared at the same time.  They took no mercy upon anyone but were always respected for reasons not known to the public.  Soon after Kiern joined his mother got better but was never really that same after that, being to feeble to work or fend for herself.  Kiern rose quickly through the ranks and soon found himself second in command, the youngest ever to obtain a rank that high.

He continued to work for Rzkliel until his mother died, then he was finally free.  Kiern decided to quit stealing from innocent people and earn his way honestly.  Years later when Kiern was around 30 disaster struck.  Rzkliel\'s Own had fallen into uncertain times and were fighting amongst themselves.  A couple of thieves decided to turn Rzkliel in to the authorities.  They informed Listh, who was the mayor of the city at the time, where Rzkliel and the others would be sleeping that night.  Listh put together and army never before seen just to hunt down a group of thieves.

Listh attacked the thieves when almost all of them were asleep.  Being caught off-guard almost all the thieves were slaughterd.  Rzkilel and a handful of others were the only ones to escape the downfall of Rzkliel\'s own.  They hid in the sewers until Listh abandoned the search for them and decided they were dead.  Rzkliel then decided it was time to pay a visit to Kiern.  Kiern had become a respected citizen of the city and was planning on running for mayor next year.  He had a huge house with a wife and servants.  The thieves arrived at his house and asked for Kiern to take them in.

Since these men had once been Kiern\'s friends he agreed to let them stay, but only if the quit stealing from other people.  The now former thieves agreed and were hired as servants.  Half a year later most of the former thieves had obtained real jobs and bought houses next to Kiern\'s.  A few remained behind to serve Kiern as his servants for being so kind to them.  Kiern then began to fall on hard times, his wife left him and he was running low on money.  The thieves suspected this was because of them and started feeling guilty for it.  They decided it was time to pay Kiern back for all he had done for him, big time.

Rzkliel, who was one of the least succesful in living an honest life, thought this would be a good time to restart the Rzkliel\'s Own.  To reclaim their fame and repay Kiern at the same time they planned one of the biggest thefts most of them had ever dreamed of.  Their plan was to steal one of the most priceless artefacts ever seen before on Yliakum, which was owned by none other than Listh, who was now retired.  A month later Rzkliel decided the time was right to make the theft.

Some of the former thieves disagreed with the reforming of Rzkliel\'s Own and wanted to continue to live their honest lives.  When Rzkliel\'s Own left to get to Listh\'s house just before midnight one of the former thieves went to warn Kiern.  Kiern was shocked and outraged by this news and decided it was up to him and the former thieves to put a stop to Rzkliel.  Kiern left behind two of the most trustworthy thieves behind to watch his house as he and his other companions made their way to Listh\'s house.

He arrived at Listh\'s house soon after, but all was quiet.  Then one of his companions pointed out shadwos on the roof.  Kiern rushed to the side of the house looking for a way to climb up.  They found a ladder which must have been used by Rzkliel\'s Own to make their way up.  One Kiern, who was the last up, reached the top they heard a lot of shouting come from underneath them.

There was a hole on top of the roof which must have been made by the thieves.  Kiern rushed over to the hole to see what was happening inside.  By the time he made it to the hole all had gone quiet.  Kiern looked into the hole and saw the bodies of Rzkliel\'s Own strewn about the floor.  He also saw a man standing other the bodies carrying a staff.  Kiern guessed he was a powerful wizard, having cast a powerful spell to kill all of Rzkliel\'s men.  The man then looked up and made eye contact with Kiern.  Then the man started muttering words in a language Kiern could not understand and making signals with his staff and his free hand.  Kiern knew that a powerful spell was being cast and that he should be running away, but his gaze was held by the mans eyes and he could not turn away from them.  The man then ceased his chanting and made one finaly gesture with his staff.  A ball of bright lightning flew out of the staff.  Kiern was just thinking of how the ball of lightning looked when it hit him right in the chest.  Kiern was sent flying into one of the former thieves who had come up behind him and they both continued on their way until they flew off of the roof and into the street below.  Kiern felt a sharp pain in his head and then fell into blackness.

When Kiern opened his eyes he was staring into a room lit by multiple candles.  He got up and found some clothes laying beside the bed.  Noticing that his clothes he had on were wet he put on the other ones.  As he was putting on the cloak that came with the clothes the door creaked open.  Two men walked in and when they saw him they smiled in relief.  Kiern realized these were two of the former thieves whom he had been with the lightning ball.....what had happend after that?  Kiern found that he had been unconcious for only the rest of the night and that the two old thieves had dragged them to one of their hideouts.  He also learned that all of the others had been caught and executed and that the theif he had hit when struck by the lightning had died from the impact, his body had saved Kiern\'s life.

Once Kiern had collected all of this information he decided to return to his home.  When they arrived they had another shock in for them.  Kiern\'s house and those of the other thieves surrounding it had been burned down.  One of the former thieves cried out in grief and fell, sobbing on the ground.  Kiern just stared in shock of all that had happend that one night.  The other thief saw a piece of paper hanging  on a pole next to the house, it read:

Wanted: Kiern and his companions
For killing, stealing, and destruction of property

The former thief\'s heart sank, for they were wanted men again.

Kiern and his friends, having lost everything they had worked so hord to gain in life, sought out to restart Rzkliel\'s Own, since they needed to earn a living once again.  The three of them retreated from society into one of Rzkliel\'s old hideouts.  There they changed the name and the rules of the organization.  They were now the BISM, whose goal was to become one of the most respected organizations ever seen.  BISM was no longer a thief organization but would excel at all classes possible and would have rules never to take revenge or hurt anyone unless it is needed.

After they were done they became ready to recruit new, worthy members.  But they had a problem, the wizard they had seen that night was searching for them and attempting to capture them.  No one knew who he was or why he wanted Kiern, but they were not about to be taken.......
