Technical: surround gaming
« on: January 14, 2005, 06:36:12 pm »
Hi,
I added a request on the Sourceforge feature request page.  It\'s the Surroung Gaming support for Matrox video cards, which is a game on 3 monitors, done by only stretching the width (ex.: 3*1024x768 = 3072x768).

Examples (screenshots) can be found here:
http://www.matrox.com/mga/3d_gaming/surrgame.cfm

Documentation can be found here (there\'s 2 ways to do it):
ftp://ftp.matrox.com/pub/mga/forum_img/matrox-surround-gaming.zip

Matrox\'s developers information request form at:
http://www.matrox.com/mga/support/tech_support/emaildevrel_form.cfm

Take a look at Neverwinter Nights on 3 monitors:

I always thought 3 screens were intresting, not that I would use them of course. Neverwinter Nights looked quite good (of course, it\'s quite a looong way to scroll with your mouse all over 3 screens), but the HUD Age of Mythology was streched miserably. :D
