webhosting advice and BAN !!!

Hello please speak about your experience with the webhosting here : the one you like (yeah I know... they are hugely rare) and the one you despise ! Tell us why please...

I begin :
shyper is in my despising list cause they created rules saying the webhosting for free is possible and so one and once they have what they want they changed the rules adding ads for example destroying phpBB forum, cancelling php functions and everything without asking their member. Personaly my account seems to be not recheable and when I try to ask for their help by sending my email address they answers the email address isnt in the database and my IP address is registered ... Im a hacker and I try to enter a private area and so one and so one and personnaly I really think I never saw anything like that before ! Im peaceful but... they are very lucky to live in America and not in my city cause I really want to have an explanation with them... hum hum

lycos : is in my despising list too but not exctly for the same reasons... they add ads everywhere without warning us : when you create a website you have :
1)you lost 1/5 of your display because of a frame
2) javascript animation with very and absooooooolutly beautiful image :  CLICK HERE !!! CLICK HERE !!! CLICK HERE !!! CLICK HERE !!! CLICK HERE !!! CLICK HERE !!! CLICK HERE !!! CLICK HERE !!! CLICK HERE !!! CLICK HERE !!! CLICK HERE !!! CLICK HERE !!! CLICK HERE !!!
3) popup when you close the window

And finally you created a really interesting website !

Nexen is in my despising list : cause : \"we are free for all\" and 2 or 3 monthes after your account is lost without being warned

ovh : cause my website wasnt reachable for a long long time and today I just realize the website is back but Ive no php possibility so the website is dead...

yeah i hate shyper too now, at first it was the best.. now they have killed my site, lost several pictures i was hosting as well as some important files i was moving between my computer and my account at school since i bascially lead our school webpage... and now all is lost and i need to find another free place to store stuff... oh wait...

my harkin.pcplayground.com is still available.. guess ill go back to that... 200mb...php...mysql...perl...no real monitored bandwidth, unless its really high.... guess i can go back... since it is free for me :)

I like cjb.cc, but I will look at that place that you said Harkin, sounds like a good deal.

Note: I am not spamming, I haven\'t checked the forums in about a week though, so just catching up. : )

Free was an excellent free french host a year ago (100 mo, no ads, php, mysql). But now their sites are a bit slow / doesn\'t work with some heavy scripts (5 secs limit, easily reached with their over-used CPUs).
