Game crashes during loading screen

my game always crashes while loading, to be exact at the time u see the loading screen. Unfortunately he doesnt ask me to save a diagnostic file, he just asks, if i want to send informations to windows, which i dont :) .

well, the game has worked before, so i dont know why it shouldnt work now. The last time i was on, i went linkdead, and it said i should report that, too. Im quite sure that my internet connection didnt disconnect at that time, cause my irc didnt disconnect..

I had this problem last Friday, too, and a reinstallation helped me, but i really dont want to reinstall the game every day.

So has anybody a idea what to do?

well, i think so. I updated the game on sunday then it worked for some hours, then i had this problem again. I Reinstalled it and updated it again, now it works, and i hope itll stay like that.

I have lastest version, updated today (15 minutes ago). 0.3.006. I had some problems with selfupdating of updater, so i had to overwrite files from update.zip to planeshift directory, then updated with new updater to lastest version.
Now the progress bar of loading reaches end, and right after it crashes. Tested with two accounts and more characters.

I maybe found a solution for crash of full updated version to lastest, and still falling. Only working solution was download last release, uninstal and reinstal.

I think think that it different is missing data/options/sound.xml
I dont have it in my old planeshift copy, when updater think all is up to date. As these are configuration data, it maybe wont check for their presence.

So if psclient crash after loading first location before you could anything do, try to add this file to you planeshift directory. I have sound disabled, but it seem to be needed anyway.

in your planeshift directory

please correct me if this wont help you. Remeber you have to update to last version. I am not a developer. :)
