I\'m still having problems with the updater...

Does somebody still have them?
This is my sig. It\'s only the PlaneShift banner, but it looks good for use it as a signature.

Home Edition XP seems to be having a bit \'o the problem with the Updater... my guess is that the updater is missing something, and our comps think that thats an error. At any rate, it is annoying, because in order for me to re-update the game, I have to uninstall it, then run the updater, then hope that the problem is fixed... no luck so far, however, the game runs fine for me, and only the updater is the problem, thank you Lord. Alright now... back to playing my game....

I have run into a similar problem with the updater on Win98SE. There is an old fix for this that is published in these forums that worked for me.

You have to run the updater in a DOS window that is opened from the Planeshift folder. From the DOS prompt use the following command:

updater --auto

If you need further help, dig though the forums for more info on this.
When confronted by a difficult problem, you can solve it more easily
by reducing it to the question, \"How would The Hulk handle this?\"
