Updater don't start anymore
« on: February 10, 2005, 11:17:35 am »
After I updated some minutes ago the updater don\'t start anymore. (Windows) when I launch it just the console comes up, and go imidiately. (launched from the regular console there ist no output.
Code: [Select]
D:\\Spiele\\PlaneShift Crystal Blue>updater.exe

D:\\Spiele\\PlaneShift Crystal Blue>

thats all)

If I try to launch Planeshift (which hasn\'t updated, beacuse the updater just updeted itself into nirwana) this happens
Code: [Select]
D:\\Spiele\\PlaneShift Crystal Blue>psclient.exe
crystalspace.maploader: Could not get sound driver
crystalspace.maploader: Could not get model converter
crystalspace.maploader: Could not get model crossbuilder

D:\\Spiele\\PlaneShift Crystal Blue>

I have this problem too under Windows 98SE. I can\'t run the game because it says I don\'t have the latest version. When I try to run the new updater the console comes up for a short while then disappears. What more, I get some kind of exception fault.

Please try the search button.
The solution should be something similar to creating a shortcut containing

\"C:\\Program Files\\Planeshift\\updater.exe\" --auto
I like taking things literally, going overboard is fun! Now... why do I keep getting odd looks?

\"updater --auto\" (although in text mode) works fine. Thanks :).
