Prologue
I, Oculus Taladdeus, grew up in a simple Kran village. Vox Talladeus was my parent and taught me all about goodness of Talad. Vox showed that to see the truth and spread it, one does not have to be smart. It is enough to have faith in self and Talad. One day he told me he said all he can to me, and that it?s time for me to leave. He said I have to find my own road to Talad, just like Vox had to long ago. That trip every believer has to take is called pilgrimage. So one day I left the village and headed for Hydlaa
Chapter I
Upon my arrival to Hydlaa I was surprised by the large number of people. There were races from all over Yliakum. Unfortunately they all seem to be fighting, right there in the town square. I saw two Krans hacking away at each other for no reason. Something was wrong.
After asking around the town I discovered that there was no Talad temples. I ran into the Laanax temple to talk to the priest. I was hoping he could explain this to me. I was surprised once again. When I asked about whereabouts of Talad temple, he told me that Talad is nothing more then a myth. I was angered by this. My surprises did not end there. I saw Krans walking into the temple and asking the priest is there anyway they could help him. How can they??? The priest denies the existence of their creator, their father Talad, and they want to help him. Disappointed I left the temple.
I found a nice tavern and ordered my self some rum. I hoped I would find some peace and comfort in the tavern. I turned to a joyful dwarf next to me, and asked him if he believed in Talad?s existence. His answered was frightening. He said he does not believe in any gods!!! How can you believe in nothing? Something is wrong in Hydlaa.
