wrong version before and after update using linux
« on: March 20, 2005, 12:28:08 am »
i tried to connect to the laanx-server but it says i have the wrong version.
i installed the 3007 version, i didn\'t update first, tried to connect to the laanx-server, then i updated the game, tried to connect again but i got the same error.
i installed as a user into my home, the updater says that all files are up to date, when running updater again.

strange it said all files are up to date but this can\'t be because i forgot installing curl, well it\'s updating now, so i think the problem is solved.

The current version on the server is 3.008, so an updated 3.007 will not work with this in a Linux environment - the Linux updater does not replace the binaries and libraries, so it will not change the version number of the client.

Reinstall the current 3.008 rev in the same manner that you installed 3.007, run the updater, and you should be good to go.
