Hey, its your first post!  Congrats for getting this far.  Welcome.

Read what you can, you\'ll find the answer your looking for.  The short answer is wait, a fix to the current version is coming down the road.  How far away is anyone\'s guess.  If you were to download the current version it wouldn\'t work anyway, this must be the reason the download page has been disabled.

Pull up a chair and sit a spell.  Find yourself a good book to read.  :)

Myself, I\'m learning how to program C.  :)

Welcome Blorx, hope you enjoy Yliakum...

dfryer, any progress in the client?

Just wondering, keep up the great work. Also, are you really only a WantToBe member? For all the mac work you do, I think they really should make you a full member or dev...hmmm, just my thoughts...

Anyways, cheers!

I could do with full member if I could get that...I\'m not ready to be a dev yet...when I finish learning C++ and OpenGL, I might help...but for now, leave me to my learning. I would be happy to be a full member though as I will be playing PlaneShift alot...Do you plan to make any other games? (directed at the PS Dev team) I would be happy to help with any other future projects. :D

Sorry Blorx, I was refering to dfryer (WTB Member) who compiles the mac clients...

But hey, if you know C++ and can change that into macintosh code, or can do any other development, talk to the devs on the recruitment page, they\'d love to have more help I\'m sure.

Oh. Sorry, I know most of what the code looks like. I\'ll give it a go and submit the application later after I mess around with the source like it says to do ;)

Ok, I applied but, I need help, I haven\'t ever had any experience with Fink or FinkCommander and need help getting the Planeshift and CrystalSpace sources through Fink, can anyone help?

EDIT: If I can get this done, I can help dfryer, sound good?
EDIT2: I would also like it if I could get the original download link...just a thought

You cannot get Crystal Space or Planeshift through fink, just a bunch of the dependencies.  In the big sticky thread under Crystal Blue Problems some people discuss Fink setup - what you\'ll need is things like libjpeg, libpng, libfreetype2 etc.
You\'ll need current CVS of Cal3D, Crystal Space, CEL, and Planeshift, all available from sourceforge.net (The project names are cal3d, crystal, cel and planeshift respectively)

The mac binary download is totally hosed and would do you no good whatsoever.  I\'ll let you all know when there\'s a working version; some major CS changes have caused big build headaches temporarily.

Hi im Burning Monkey im also new to this, hi all :)

so if i understand correctly, Planeshift client (MAC) cannot be downloaded anywhere?
thats a bummer, i hope there will be a mirror soon.

another Q : will there be a bittorrent option for faster download? That would be very welcome.

I\'m installing WoW and has taken me half an hour already plus I have a 700 MHz machine and I\'m crazy enough to pay 15$ a month. I\'m playing this because I can\'t play PS. And it\'s not hard to find Mac things today, check http://www.macupdate.com or http://www.macgamefiles.com
