Why my client segfaulted
« on: March 27, 2005, 11:40:22 am »
I run the Linuxclient (Karosh installer) and I have experienced a lot of crashing and login problems during the last week. Today I think I found out why.

Everything worked fine until I started to experiment with the shortcut options.

If I make a shortcut, lets say /dig for platinum and click the button any time I want to use it works great.

If I assign the shortcut to a key between A-Z everything also works great - but if I assign the shortcut to the key just left of the RETURN-key it segfaults when logging in.

I\'m not sure if it is that particular key that is the problem since I had two shortcuts assigned to non-alphabetical keys when I discovered this.

I had one shortcut assigned to the key just left of the right-shift-button and one shortcut at the key mentioned above.

I removed both those entries in $HOME/Planeshift/data/options/keys.xml and voila - I could login again.

At the time being I assigned the /dig for platinum-shortcut to the L-key, and that seems to work fine.  :)
