WHY??
« on: April 21, 2005, 08:15:13 pm »
Why would you guys want to start new guilds when the wipe is soon (or at least it says on the MOTD)??? Unless its not really going to happen for another month.
There are two types of people in this world: The Pinky and the Brain.
Which one are you?

We will try to preserve as much information as possible (like guilds) but all points, trias, and items will be gone and reset to the starting position (i.e. nothing or what you got from the MB migration).

Righto.  Our guild dates back to the Molecular Blue days when it was created.  We were looking for good loyal members and this continues to this day.

The average guild though doesn\'t last too long in planeshift before it goes inactive or disbands.  Its not because of lack of intent or purpose, its just the nature of things.  Not everything lasts forever.  A good idea is to join a guild too see how things are run, then when your are more expirenced start your own if you want.  We had a member who joined us for the sole purpose of seeing how a guild is run.  We knew this from the start and helped as much as possible, and now he has his own guild.

But if you do want to start your own guild now isn\'t a bad time really.  Watch for players who are playing alot despite the wipe.  They are more likely to be long term members :)

Unless the wipe will also brainwash all the players, the number and quality of players in your guild shouldn\'t be affected by it.

Guilds are about roleplaying, not stats, equipement, and money. At least they should.
