Fken: simple answer, this is not advertising at all cause I seriously doubt anyone here would be interested in buying it. :)

I\'m just showing my art stuff like others do here. Nothing more ;)

I\'d buy it definately, if I had a game and if I had a choise of paying lazy 3d artists to do whole weapon pack in a month or just buy a pack for 2500.

Although I also agree with originality of games.   Many games invent their own weapons, especially if it\'s medieval fantasy, not simply medieval

As always Djagg, simply spectacular.  The details look very sharp.  Stupendous job on making them look worn.  You\'re always so good at that.  You must have use 512 texture sheets?  Did you make any other maps other than the diffuse?  Is the lighting on those in the diffuse texture, or are they dynamically lit?

I especially like the double axes and pole axe.

Sashok-boy: what dya mean with lazy 3d artists?
And yes games can invent fantasy weapons, but such pack is perfect for additional weapons (for NPC, environement, etc..)

Arcane-boy: thanks dude. Yah it\'s 512 texture, better bigger than smaller. No other maps, it\'s only diffuse of course.
It\'s rendered with Brazil, so there is almost no bad shadows or light like with the defaut renderer.

Those models with self illumination at 100 would look the same.

some of the items dont seem original. for instance, the dragon on a sheild has been used MANY times before

The evils of past repeat themselves in many shapes and forms

That\'s the point. These items are completely generic, so that they can be used for nearly any type of medieval-based game.

I\'m just wondering why you didn\'t put  all this effort into making in game weapons... you\'ve cheated on the planeshift community for your lust of the green stuff. Sellout. :P

Anyhow, I hope you make lots of money.  :]

Now go make shtuff! now! I commands it! :3

Im wondering if Talad would be against if these weapons were used as a base a kind of source for ps weapon. I\'m meaning people (3d designer from ps) could use them adding some originals things...
I personaly think there isnt enough weapon in ps so maybe is it a solution...

Djagg can use them to create new ps weapon off course

Well I mean if I had a team of game devs let\'s say and my 3d artist team gets a monthly paycheck, it\'s obvious it\'s in their interest to stretch time and come up with similar weapon pack months in advance.  I would have to pay them much more than I would have to pay you for example.  That\'s why they are lazy :D
(I\'m not using real definition of lazy here, since I assume they are very capable of completing something similar and anyone who can do this is certainly not lazy)

But really are the original weapons of Planeshift going to be so superb compared to these? How different can you make a weapon without making it look really stupid? It might as well accept something like these because these days only way to gain original status on things like this is to change the colors, most stuff has been put out there already :P

I think the weapons look great, but .....

maybe we could make a PS contest of building PS like textures for them, so they dont look like all others and get great for PS.

Whats about that ?
