New Character
« on: May 20, 2005, 01:06:14 am »
Just started a new character and I have no idea what to do. Can someone give me some tips? Spare a few minutes? Thanks.
Even though we may look different on the outside, everyone has the same feelings and we all feel pain. The best we can do is try to realize that.

Xirius notices a new face in Kada\'s while finishing up a pint and some roasted carp...

Greetings, welcome to Yliakum.

Yes, I do have a couple of tips for you...

1.) The game is best when roleplaying as much as possible.
2.) Now that they have hopefully fixed the quests and implemented crafting, there is a lot more to do than kill rats in the sewers. However, you will still probably need to begin there until you can afford a sword or axe and some training. Then, you can begin to mine ores, do quests, learn magic etc. Of course, some of the quests you can do without a sword, so talk to the NPCs.
3.) You may be tempted to join a guild as soon as it\'s availible to you, I recommend against that unless you have looked up the guild, know what it is about and if it fits with your character.
4.) Please try to respect the other players as much as possible. Respect is definitely only earned through humility. Don\'t be a n00b.

With that in mind, please, go have fun, it\'s an excellent game.

May Keldjan light the darkness before you
