Guild capes
« on: May 27, 2005, 02:32:59 pm »
I\'d like to see some special capes that you can modify a bit to make it more unique. Or that some NPC\'s sell some capes that are in special colors.
I may not always be right, but I\'m never wrong.

Well someone has been playing Guild Wars too much .. I don\'t think we need to copy ideas from other games. In fact I know the Devs won\'t do that.

we need a good combat system. something revolutionary. like fps with the bows and spears. and like zelda 64/ ww or i believe it\'s called draken. now those are something you may need to take.

Current system is good, I don\'t think any of real-time combat systems will work well on any MMORPGs...lag and that...

bout the capes

Wel u dont need capes to identivy
Just make a special armor with name of the guild written on it or just the initials of the guild like my guild is crystal wariors make a armor with C.W. on it in realy nice letters.
But the guild would have to buy these to give to you so there would be ppl runing with a bronze armor with c.w. on it and there would be ppl running with gold armor with c.w. on it just to show their rang in the guild.
But i realy like the idea of getting guild uniforms.

Defs keep up the god work

Armor wouldn\'t work, as not everyone wants to wear it ;) Or not everyone possibly will be -able- to wear it. And besides, armor is something that will need to be changed every so often, as the character grows.
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Coat of Arms
« Reply #8 on: June 04, 2005, 03:45:34 am »
We could copy the Coat of Arms idea.  That\'s been public domain for the longest time.  However, we wouldn\'t leave the design to just shields.  Armor could have a coat on it, and those who only wear robes could wear those sandwich boards that say \"Eat at Joe\'s\", but they\'d have guild coats.  It might be a little hard to identify at first, but you\'d soon learn which coats are important to your character and guild.  You could put the guild info in the description to aid with guild coat identification.  You\'d have to place a Heraldry expert in town to paint the signs, and abandoned guilds would have to retire their coats to ensure that new guilds can create designs.  I think this would fit into the game environment.  After all, the development team asks music department applicants to have a feel for medieval music.
