Updater/Game Problem

When ever i use the downloader with the new version it looks like this


and when the uploader has finished it looks like this


and the game looks like this

                                                                                                                 
Anyone else having this problem or anyone solved the solution.

It looks like missing graphics.  I will try the windows download and see if I can get the same errors.

By any chance do you use Nvidia Geforce MX? If so then try changing all your options to 16 bit colour, it worked for me.

EDIT: But there are some problems with running at 16bit, like for a start you end up at 1fps

I know my graphics card is NIVIDIA GEFORCE no idea if it a MX anyway you can check without dismantling your entire computer?

Change the options of the game to 16 bit or 16 bit for windows and the game.

I do have Linux installed as well but i can\'t seem to get my talktalk broadband to work on there so...

My login menu\'s look the same as that updater, changing settings to 16 bit fixed my in-game issues (however I have incredibly low fps, like 0.1 etc) but it doesn\'t fix these issues with the updater and the setup tool. Maybe it\'s a crystalspace error?

Here you go:
I\'m not an admin nore a dev but i can sugest a workarround that worked for me:
1: i changed the desktop colour depht so i can create my character (16 bits)
2: I entered the game and at first it seemed that there were only the labels related bugs that afecterd me.
When i tryed to move, especialy when switching subregions (like the sewer entrance) i got 0.3-0.5 fps so the game was not playeble.
3: After trying for 2 hours different solutions i thought that switching to 32 bits might be crazy enough to work.
It is crazy and it works although that you have no buttons and no tabs in the chat channels.
4: I have a nvidia graphic card and i heared just now that  the game works with the previous release of the drivers meanning 71.89.
5:I wish Acraig good luck in finding the solution to the problem and hope it will be fixed soon.

Actually it doesn\'t work with 71.89 either, read my post here:

This is probably a change in the GUI-skin-rendering code or in the glwrapper dll itself (possibly gl3d.dll).

I tried copying the glwin32.dll from the previous version of PlaneShift but I get same corrupted graphics. Then I tried the gl3d.dll from previous version but it\'s incompatible so it got an error message, which means I cannot test if the new version of that dll is causing trouble.

PS the ancient version of updater and first screen were good are we the only ones with this trouble ?

Ok I have managed to fix it locally. Add the following two lines to data/config/r3dopengl.cfg:
