What can you tell me about EQ2?
« on: August 23, 2005, 05:58:04 pm »
Having maxed out one char in WoW and getting another to 45, Its time to start a new mmorpg.

I was looking at EQ2, because the first one was so succesful, and I did the trial and the combat seemed pretty good.
No problems running it on Medium settings.

I just wanted to get some input on it, I think its sort of a hate it or love it kind of game.

What have you heard about it, and does anyone play it?

I watched trailors and gameplay videos for dark and light.

Cons.

-Stiff animation
-Random generated terrain
-lack of a solid storyline
-Graphics looked rather intense, like EQ2, but i heard that they dont scale as well for a realistic machine.

Basicly it looks like EQ2, but lacks a storyline and the gameplay doesnt look as nice or fun

DnL isn\'t really for mr good graphics. Terrain isnt random. Theres over 40,000 cities and towns, you build your own house... Theres just so much to do...

DnL? Link me please.

I don\'t pay for games my self. I usually either spawn them or play a share with a group of buddies. Afterall you usually have a number of character slots and we are never online at the same time. Some work nights and some work days. We have a schedule worked out.
That\'s why PS rocks so hard. No paying :]

EQ2 is a dissapointment form what i hear, although it will definatly take longer than WoW (way longer) to \"max\" out a character.

personally, teh best mmorpg i\'ve ever played was EQ 1, however its went down hill i and i quit playing after 5years of it. Not sure if its gotten better since all the powergamers went to WoW eq2, etc.

personally i\'m waiting for D&D online
