I believe this is a known issue.  At least I know lots of players seem to bitc..err.. report this.  I\'ve seen it called many different things so not sure there is an official name for it, I call it being \'black-shifted\'.  It seems to return to normal in 3 to 8 minutes which can be annoying at times.  I\'ve found a workaround that works rather well for me.

When I\'m going to log off I try to find a very dark background to put my view into.  The walls of Harnquist shop work best for me.  I walk up to the wall, switch to \'First Person\' view, so that all you see is a rather dark grey wall, and then log off.  Now when I log back in I get a totally black screen (can\'t even see the wall) for only 2 to 5 seconds.  Then the wall appears and when I look around all is normal lighting.

A little cumbersome, but, useful none the less.

You\'ve to wait till the ingame hour changes, so the azure sun relights again.

DaWolffe, with all my respects I think that what you do isn\'t a workaround; I\'ll tell you what I think happens in reality.
You log in the game, and see that the screen is black, ok, then you do your actions, log off, and come back again. By that time, the ingame hour has been advancing, so, you enter probably at the same hour you were before, but of course closer to the hour change since you\'ve been spending time loading the map. I honestly don\'t think that your actions shorten the waiting time.
Are there any MoonSeekers left?

I\'ve repeatedly tested and used this roughly 30 times (probably more).  I know about the in-game hour thing, the above procedure and background works 100% of the time for me.  I verified that the in-game hour didn\'t change.  I tried to eliminate it being a random quirk before I would even thought of suggesting it.

Now trying to find a background other than Harnquist shop that creates the same re-producible results has proven to give random success.
