game closes down

I am new to planeshift.
I have downloaded and updated it all, createdmy character and all and tried to enter the game.
It starts with the main planeshift screen then goes to the login screen ok.
I select my character and then choose ok. This works fine and i then start loading the world etc.  The progress bar runs all along then it comes up to loading GUI the progress bar has finished and it will be there blank for about 2 minutes and then it throws me back to windows. I have tried loading the game several times but it is exactly the same thing every time.
Can anyone help me ??

Have you disabled sound in the PlaneShift setup, and made sure you have the latest graphics card drivers, just in case? Can you also post your system specs? :)

Thanks went and updated video drivers and now have no problems except learning what to do in the game

Feel free to ask around in-game. The Help tab of the chat comes in handy, in particular. There is also a Player Guide available, and an FAQ stickied in the forums :)

As a little side-note, try to separate OOC (Out-Of-Character) chat from IC chat using either parantheses, or brackets when in-game. Roleplay should be the first priority in the chat window.
