Talad and the Holy Rune Part II
« on: November 07, 2002, 09:39:58 pm »
\"He must die\", a sick sounding voice whispered. \"No one has ever killed me, nor angered me. Talad must die!\"

Talad was thinking about his problem. How could he find the pieces? He had no idea where to search. Talad decided to meditate very deeply. He sat down and started.

\"Tea?\", someone yelled in his ear. Talad looked up disturbed. \"Are you still here? What do you want from me?\"

<Worf> These are the moments when my ego gets put back on the ground. I use linux for quite some time, and am soon 2 years maintainer of a linux distribution. I started to think I would be good at it. But then I tried to get planeshift running.

Gronomist replied: \"It\'s me Lord Talad.\"

She explained to him about her slavery in Aelya\'s castle and that due to the fact of having been set free by Talad, she would now be a servant of him.

She then explained a way to go to the aelya\'s plane in order to collect back the 4 pieces: He would have to go to the Stone Labyrints and collect a powerfull amulet, called the Voo\'Thoo Di\'k. She also explained that this amulet is defended by Paxxeus, a big monster with 10 arms and 20 eyes, so he can write and read many spell scrolls at the same time as well as fully coordenate all his subordinates.

Talad became interested.

\"how do you know all this?\", Talad asked. \"Oh, thats easy, I sneaked in Aelya\'s room a couple of times, disguised as a tree. So I heard some of her secrets\"

\"Ooooookaaaay, makes some sense, I guess.\" Talad began to meditate again, in order to locate the Talisman.

\"Sugar?\"

After 10 minutes of long meditation Talad discovered the location of the Voo\'thoo Di\'k. He then began a long travel into the abysses of Yliakum. Gronomist followed him as his personal cooker.

\"Look! A Rock.\"

After days of travelling, they reached, at least, the deepest depth of the Stone Labyrint where dwelt Paxxeus. But before that, they met an enormous monster with spiked hair and made of a black metal.

\"I am Satatis, the monster fro mthe abyss. To pass beyond me, thou shall solve a puzzle.\"

\"This be a question of ancient past.... Noone has ever solved it.... if you don\'t solve it, I will EAT you!!!\"

\"That doesn\'t sound like a pleasant experience\"

\"This be the question: Pie\"

Talad was astonished. What was the question? Pie? Thats ridiculous! but it was exactly what the Satatis said. With his mind full of doubts he turned his head to Gronomist.

\"Oooh, pwetty flower!\"

\"C\'mon grono, I need your help! Do you know the answer?\"

\"For what question?\"

For a moment Talad wanted to strangle Gronomist himself.

Talad said: Pie.
Gronomist replied: Pie?

Talad replied: Yea, pie.

G:Humm pie..
T:Stone pie.
G:Want some rock pie this night, honny?
T: Yea, sure.
G: K!
T: Pie.
G: Pie.
T: Doesn\'t this deep word make us wonder about the secrets of the universe?
G: Yes...the secret of the pies...
T: Only something as great can be the answer of the greatest of all relics! Thus the answer is..
T: Pie.

Satatis, amazed by his power and knowledge soon turned into dust, opening a vast passageway to Paxxeus.

\"Oooooooh, it dark in here!\"

Talad, with his super-powered eyes, could see everything as clear as day, But Gronomist, being a mere mortal, had less viewing capabilities.

*DOC*

\"AW! That hurts!\"

\'Hurts... hurts... hurts... hurts... urts... urts... urts...\'

Somewhere deep in the cave something awakened, something that does not like adventuring gods and their noisy sidekicks.

There they found a big hall, illuminated by magical globes, filled with chairs, and two monsters

As soon as they saw fully the monsters, their heart began to slowly stop beating, astounded by the ugliness of the two monsters. What would these two fearsome beasts would want?

\"Pie\"

Screams of horror echoed around the wall

Talad took his defencive stance. He began to summon his inner powers, in order to defeat these hellish, evil,  disputable, demonic...things. but before he was done, Gronomist walked up on the monsters.

\"I have all kinds of pie! stone pie and grass pie and human pie and tree pie and dirt pie and water pie and fire pie and comic-book pie!\"

\"Huh? Pie? Pie!\"

The monsters charged Gronomist.

But gronomist was intelligent, and before being ate alive by the monsters, she delivered them some pies
The monsters seemed happy.

With the path free, Talad finally made his way to Paxxeus room.

The room was.... smelly. And empty. Talad and gronomist walked in. the small, dark chamber vwas full of books and papers. On the other side a bright light came off the wall. Talad walked up to it.

\"What is that, sugar? oh, its the talisman I told you about! Phew, does that mean we can lea...\"

As Gronomist talked she slipped over a book. She fell next to Talad, and the book flew through the room, until it hitted the wall, at a place where a huge red button was visible. Suddenly. the room sealed off and an alarm rang.
