Few questions about weapons
« on: October 05, 2005, 08:06:54 am »
After visiting many worlds, I arrived to the Yliakum. This world looks slightly different than any others I have visited so far. After looking around for a while I understood that not all the places in Yliakum are safe to visit. So I had to improve my fighting skills and get some weapons. Perhaps some people with more experiences could help me understanding the basics about weapons in Yliakum.

If one sword has a speed attribute 2 and another 3, then which one is actually faster?

Why can I equip with a sword with weight 10, but not a sword with weight 4?

Greetings, and welcome :)

The lower number for speed is the faster. I\'m not entirely sure about the weight, however. May be a one-time bug, but there are a few people around who may know better.

*edit* Ah! The weight issue! Of course. Some items require certain stats be up to a certain... eh... what\'s the word. Ah what the heck. Up. Before you can equip them.

Either way, Zanzibar\'s answer was better ;)

Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

The best advice is to use common sense.  Which do you think is faster?  Fists, or a claymore?  A shortsword, or a full sized battle axe?

Sometimes you cannot trust the common sense. If you have seen too many different worlds with different rules, common sense doesn\'t work for you :-)

Anyway, thanks for your answers. I have already met many nice persons in Yliakum and might stay here for a while.

Heh.... then you discover that many of the regulars are knobs and you end up leaving because you made the mistake of speaking your mind and not showing \"respect\" as a \"noob\".

the lower the digit on speed the faster the weapon.

some wepaons with fancy names don\'t deal much damage but require obscenely high statistics of your skill set to be equipped, these are somewhat \"rare\" but not, i do beleive that once equipped they boost a statistic or something, much like the ring of the past does.

if you have anymore questions, please, use the help tab ingame and an advisor will gladly assist, a petition, and a GM will resond when they read it, if your still online, or feel free to search the forum, everything should be answered already, unless its something brand spankin new, of which we dont have... yet ;)
