It seems i really am in bad luck regarding the new version of planeshift.
I have installed planeshift 3.012 with the installer posted on this forum, but i keeps getting in to problems.
First i had some lookup problem since i could not connect to the server from both the client or from the updater when i tried to use the ping gameserver method.
If i tried to ping the server manually, there was no problem - reply was ok - even though i got a reply time of ~ 300 ms
traceroute told me that i would have to pass 17 steps in order to access the server. I live in denmark and the server stands on the other side of the globe - so that is what to be expected.
But in time i solved the problem by replacing the dns server name with the correct ip (probally saved a single dns server lookup that took to long maybe...)
Now i can ping the server from within the client (and updater), but now i get a \"incorrect version\" message - even though im using the 0.3.012 version installed with the updater from this forum _and_ have used the updater to even sweep out any unupdated files (i can\'t actually remember if it actually have downloaded any files)
i cannot grasp it - what am i doing wrong???
