Half In-game
« on: November 20, 2005, 12:27:40 pm »
Rite,
I was getting the error message
\"something unexpected happened in planeshift: crystal blue details: exception_access_violation at 5ed3e6b2 would you like to save a diagnostic file?\" ,
but i changed the skin and the sound and it worked. Then the screen changed when it was loading the actual world. The skin appeared- with quests etc, but also the messaging box appeared. At the top, as i had a new character, it said something about dwarves, and someone said hi. I could type in the message box. I felt tempted to call a gm but i didnt. Another thing was that the top half of the screen showed the view you would see when in-game. As i pressed the directional buttons, the view changed as it would when your character was moving. So that meant i was actually playing. Also after about 7 minutes a sword appeeared in the distance. It approached and went past. I guessed that this was another character as it moved in a pattern like someone was holding it and running. Strangest of all in the bottom left hand corner there was a completely blue box with writing that was upsiede down but also the wrong way round, like looking at writing in a mirror upside down. I managed to read a few words, but  the text kept changing. It was green writing. I managed to make out and help. I have only tried to log in once now after i fixed the other problem, and i am tring it again now. Please help if you can.

EDIT: I\'ve tried again, with the same result. Whilst i am typing it is still running, but i have selected quit. This time there are many more swords, all leaving trails behind like when a computer is frozen and you drag a window around. Strangely arranged words are still coming up

EDIT2: Gotta screeny -

EDIT3: Cmon people reply, also progress= i moved quite far, and talked to quite a lot of people , the blue bit at the bottom disappeared as i moved, then when i stopeed it came back. The moving is very hard and delayed so i can\'t really do much.

You should really try updating your graphic card drivers.
Are there any MoonSeekers left?

If you\'re using an nvidia card, download the latest drivers from nvidia.com. If you\'re using ATI, try ati.com. Basically find your card model, and download the drivers from the manufacturer\'s website. They\'re free updates :)

Make sure you are downloading the correct drivers, however! For some reason, a few individuals owning one certain model decided to download drivers for a completely different brand. Be sure you know which ones you need.
