All ports below 1024 are specified to be used by certain services, they\'re called well known ports; that\'s why you see some of them in use.
Anyway, as I said, the one that listens on 7777 is the server, that is, laanx. I\'d say that\'s the connection port to the server; I think they call it connection socket, if I\'m not mistaken once connection is established, you\'re assigned an aleatory port number (UDP) and that\'s why you see it changing everytime you launch the game, from which the communication between client and server is done.
Of course I could be wrong with that interpretation.
Are there any MoonSeekers left?

See, well, it\'s weird, \'cause when Norton got back up, I was all tired and I just thought, y\'know, \"What the hell, I\'ll try PlaneShift. Ten bucks on it not working.\" So I opened it, and Norton popped up with a message... \"PS is trying to connect to a DNS server\" and I selected \"always allow connections from this program on all ports\" and hit okay, and then I got to the green log-in screen, and wham! I could play... \'Twas odd. But... I guess Norton WAS blocking PS. So, whatever.

*Gives everyone who helped her a cookie* Did I tell you all how much I love you?

*Squee, finishes typing christmas list, runs off to play PS*
