What Do You Expect from a MMORPG?

I expect it to be like real life. You get older growing stuff and owning shops and whatnot

What do I -expect- or what do I -want-? I expect to walk into the main city and ask a question, then instantly be insulted and called a \"noob\" for not knowing, instead of getting an answer ^_^

I -want- a decent community. Stuff to do is nice, too.  In future, I hope ps has more stuff to do ^_^

I agree with many of the sentiments here.

For me, it boils down to \"More stuff to do\"...

I\'d like to see more environments and places to explore, more things to discover (those cherished \"aha!\" moments).

I\'d like to see more of those \"were you online when...\" events (I still regret missing the Ulbernaut invasion of Hydlaa Plaza)... The stuff people talk about for months later!

The Planeshift community is great -- any activity that encourages interaction is very welcome (quests/uber-monsters that require multiple players to complete, etc.)

Additional visual character customization would be nice to enhance RP -- I\'m still looking for the \"gray-haired Ylian with the pot-belly, dirty fingernails, nervous eye twitch, and lopsided hat\" appearance!

Basically, everything.  This way you can live your life how you please.  Some can go out killing and gain money from loot.  Some can go into politics and become a king.  Some can craft and not have to touch a monster.  Some can do absolutely nothing except talk.  Basicallly, living life as it is. (in a medieval place with magic and swords, etc.. of course )

Crafting has been at the top of my list of most wanted stuff for a while now. And, yeah, that\'s about it. Killing stuff is too boring, and mining takes too long.

I expect detail.  I don\'t care about graphical excellence.  I want to poke through the garbage and find a crappy weapon because some thief opened my storage and stole my nice expensive sword that I bought from some greedy farming guru because that\'s what they want from a game.

I want to be able to raid said greedy, farming guru\'s stash and have my hands chopped off if I get caught stealing it.  I want to see the words \"noob, newb, newbie, etc\" changed to buffoon so I never have to hear that phrase again!  If you can change \"OMG\" to \"By the gods\", then you can handle this request.

(Slight pause for a moment of silence for the efforts of the programmers)

I want to see players cooking food for other players and calling city security to arrest them for not paying.  I want to see the no good non-payers have a chance to escape capture if they are slick enough.  I also want to see them have to scurry around until they have paid for their crimes.

I want to see cooks lose their restaurants because they couldn\'t pay rent because, we all boycotted paying them because they called us a buffoon!

I think you get the idea.  If it doesn\'t happen, o well.  If it does, by the gods!
