Polearms
« on: December 10, 2005, 11:26:10 pm »
Here are two staffs I tried making, the one with the red ball has ~140 polygons while the one that looks a bit like Gandalf\'s staff has 46 polygons.

Any suggestions on how to make these better, or on which type of polarms you like?

polearms of pointyness ^^

I haven\'t made any models in a long time now, but i did make some spears... if i can find them...

hmm, looking at your polearms or staffs, the one holding the red ball/gem, the grips for it seem to thin and flat, weak, almost liek paper, give them some spikey grip and vibrance.

the gandalf staff is just... gandalf staff >.> need more originality there i\'m afraid

ah here we go, have a looksie at these

double duece

halberd of teh rox +3

warhammer, rebuilt from the halberd
the pitchfork of chasing Seperot away from the bagel stall

Karyuu\'s personal spear see the design sketch at Karyuu\'s website

an alternate version

mega triple stabby doo hickey wajjamacallit

none of these models will be used anywhere, so feel free to practice copying them. ^^good luck improving

I\'m generally more of a quarterstaff person if using that type of weapon. so any type of quarterstaff would be cool. Nice work BTW

Keyaz, those are nice looking models, but I\'m curious as to what the polygon counts are.

Here\'s a chinese style polearm I made, it is fairly rough, but it only has 68 polygons.

all of the models in that section are under or around about 200 polygons.... well.. except the original design of Karyuu\'s spear.... i got carried away with detail on that one.. its about 700..

oh aswell as the gunblade in that same folder... the actualy weapon is about 250, the blurdy little chain on the end sums another 2500 polygons x\'D
