Many events have taken place ever since Xidus' death. The Dark Crystal has been heavily tampered with, and a portal opened in the mouth of the stone statue in the Ojaveda Hills, connected it with the Death Realm. When Xidus died, his body and soul were infused with the Crystal, and upon opening the portal, Xidus, along with many other things, escaped from it, and roamed through the hills. But, this was not just Xidus, he looked younger, almost like it was his teenage self, not the same Xidus that had thrown Yliakum into a panic along with Setill and Narita a while ago. Yet, his intentions were still the same. Anfa and her friends had hoped that Vodùl would cleanse Xillix of her illness, but this was their biggest mistake. Vodùl was merely toying with them, and gathering power from their offerings to bring back Xidus.
When enough power was gathered, the Dark Crystal, without anyone around, had split Xidus from itself, but the body was laying on the ground, still dead. Then, his body began to change. The greyness in his hair, and the wrinkles in his skin began to fade. His body was growing younger with every second, and soon life returned to his motionless body. He slowly awakened, looking around, wondering what had happened. Then, Vodùl spoke to him.
"You have been brought back from the dead." Vodùl said through the Crystal.
"Wha...how? Did Setill and Narita do this...?"
"No..." Vodùl said "It was actually a few people who tried to use the Dark Crystal for their own gain...they thought I would grant their friend relief from her illness, but instead I simply lured them away from the Crystal. I kept their offerings here, waiting for enough power to be gathered, so that I could recreate your body..."
Xidus looked at the Crystal, and began to laugh hysterically, "So, the fools tried to use the Crystal, eh?" Xidus said, "Then what happened to Setill and Narita? Are they still serving under you? I'm certain they wouldn't let these fools use the Crystal, especially when they use it for the wrong reasons..."
"I am not sure what has happened to them...but, your youth has been restored...When Laanx imprisoned you, she wanted you to die slowly, not just keep you there and torture you."
"What do you mean?" Xidus asked.
"I mean...she kept me from being able to restore you. She knew what was going on before everyone, that is why she has done what she has done. Like before, I am asking you to fix this problem...the world must be revived to its former glory...It has become much too tainted in your state of death."
Xidus nods, "I will do what I can, Lord Vodùl."
