updating
« on: February 25, 2006, 10:19:57 pm »
i\'m not really sure if this problem is JUST with Macs, but im on one so im posting it here. When i installed PS and the application appeared on my desktop it says its version 0.3.11 and i know thats not right because it was 0.3.012 when i checked the website, and now its 0.3.013. I\'ve tried to run the updater but when i click \"Update\" the updater just closes and nothing happens.

Hi there,

Check the stickie above \"Mac Client Status.\" When 0.3.013 is available for Mac, run the Updater programs, and you\'ll be good to go.

EDIT: I just realized that\'s not your only problem. I take it you are trying to run the standard Updater. Go to the stickie labeled \"READ BEFORE POSTING: A Guide to Running Planeshift on Mac OS X\" and download from it either one of the Java updaters (Updater.jar or Updater-old.jar, depending on your operating system). When 0.3.013 is available for Mac, run the Java Updater. This may even fix your standard Updater.

Good Luck!

Eggplant seems to have covered everything pretty well. In general: Search and read stickies before posting. iLock.
