Lost installing

Hi there. I am really new to Linux and am having problems getting the install going. I am doing my best to learn the rops but I don\'t know anyone else who uses Linux.

So far I followed the instructions on the downloads page. I downloaded and installed bittorrent. Then I downloaded the planeshift file listed next. From here I am lost. Now I have two files in my home entitled:

            PlaneShift_CBV0-1.3.013.i686.bin.torrent
an
            PlaneShift_CBV0.3.013.i686.bintorrent

What do I do from here? Please keep in mind I know almost nothing about Linux and am trying to pick it up as I go. Thanks for all the help ahead of time everyone. Sorry to be such a noob.

EDIT: Ok So now I have downloaded the installer and it added two more files to my home. these are:

             PlaneShift_CBV0-2.3.013.i686.bin.torrent
and
            PlaneShift_CBV0-3.3.013.i686.bin.torrent

What do I do to run the installer? When I click on any of these files it says they can not be displayed.

You should have the file  
PlaneShift_CBV0.3.013.i686.bin
Can you check for this?

Yes I have that file. Thanks for responding. I worked hard last night and I got the game working. The only problem is that I can not get the installer to work. I know there is a post on here that deals with that so I will look for answers there first. Thanks again for the help! :)
