why so dark??...
« on: March 30, 2006, 04:44:20 pm »
ok well i\'ve had this problem ever since i downloaded the game and i\'ve been living with it since then. but now i\'ve finally decied to show it whos boss!...hopefully...

Anyways, for some reason (probably a very obvious one) my game screen isn\'t very bright. in the game during day time i can seen fine...usually, but when i\'m in a place liek the sewers or especially the DeAtHrEaLm its almost impossible for me to see most of the time...i usually find my way out of the death realm by following my instinct, other people, or my nose! :P and actually the forest next to hydlaa is completely black during the night time...i can\'t see ANYTHING! i mean it...

but yea...i\'ve so far tried adjusting my monitors brightness...and...thats it...please? someoen help me! it does get really annoying...

but maybe this is the same for everyone and you all just got used to it...if so...then...dont just leave me stranded here and atleast tellme thats the case...PLEASE!!!

Have you run the updater at all since you\'ve downloaded? :>
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Your solution is called Gamma Settings.

Depending on your graphics card manufacturer, tweaking that can be different.
NVIDIA\'s one of the most extended trademarks, so there I go with some steps:

Right click on desktop->Properties
Configuration->Advanced Options
\"Your_graphics_card_name\"->Color Correction.

You\'ll see a slider under \"Gamma\", raise it a litte, depending on how really dark your game shows (put it at 1.2 if you had it at 1, for instance)
Notice that you can even check that profile, and theoretically if you\'ve an icon on your taskbar for your graphics card (tools->Activate icon on taskbar) it should allow you to switch between your default configuration and that \"special\" for PS with a simple right click on it.

Good luck
Are there any MoonSeekers left?
