Cannot remove program

i just downloaded planeshift from on of the mirrior sites
i downloaded it to my desktop. I no longer want the 263 mb install icon on my desktop, but it will not let me remove it, ive already uninstalled the game, but everytime i try to delete the install icon it says it\'s in use by another program, which ive shut all programs off and it still wont go bye bye. some one please help

Reboot and then try and remove it. Also try rebooting in safe mode if that doesn\'t work. It\'s a windows bug I think, it happens to me occasionally with other programs.
