Conflicting Quests

I have a possible impending problem:

I currently have the Ancient Sword quest (and even though everyone I've talked to in-game for the past two weeks thinks it's broken, I'm going to trust Karyuu, and try to get past the seemingly impossible DR leg to this quest).  And I've just picked up the Ancient Greataxe quest.  However it appears that for the Ancient Greataxe quest, I'm going to have ot interact with the NPC who gave me the Ancient Sword quest.

Is it confirmed that if an NPC is envolved with 2 quests, then one or both of the quests is "broken"?  And if so, can I just drop one quest, or do I have to drop both and start over?



as a side note: if anyone has completed the Ancient Sword quest since the 3.014 update, could you please maybe leave a quick response saying "yea, I did it!".  it might raise my hopes a little, and give me the strength to redouble my efforts!

If you have to speak to one npc for 2 different quest they conflict most of the time, just discard one and do that one after you have completed the first one.
