If something like this is ever going to be implemented, then some halberd kind weapon, of course self crafted ...

If not, a pair of swords ore a single big one will have to do, maybe along with some daggers. I\'m not into magic and ranged combat.
Typing and grammatic errors may be safely ignored, they come without charge ...

If they ever give pickaxes slash values, I\'ll have that. Else, shortsword. You see, I carry a pickaxe anyway, as a miner/blacksmith.

I perfer anything under the knives and daggers catagory.  This includes things such as whips by the way... I also prefer magic.

lol i like em all but ide have to go with dual pickhammers heavy weighted backs with very sharp spikes...... one good vertical blow to the skull with one will end up very messy...... or you could use dagger and just aim for the eyes it seems to work very effectively

I saw someone get the beat down with a mug before. Can not say I remember who it was. More of an experiment on dammage than anything else. Looked funny though.

Well, I generally stick to rogue/stealth type characters, so I prefer weapons that are light, and fast.  I usually go with twin shortswords, but daggers will do in a pinch. Throwing daggers for pulling aggros *grin*

Titanium knuckle dusters with diamond tips.

Failing that, two razor-sharp katanas or a metal pole.  A nice, long metal pole.  Or maybe Xboxes that explode on impact (hey, this is a fantasy game, nearly anything can happen).

Well since I will play a self respecting and stealthy and discreet assasin I will get a maul and a sledgehammer...  :D

nah ... just kidding, my weapon of choice will be a Sabre in the main-hand and a dagger in the off-hand. (dipped in poison off-course)

Ranged weapons -if they are ever implimented in PS- starting with a basic bow and with appropriate skilling up and training, eventually specializing in crossbows.
- running PlaneShift Mac OS X Tiger (10.4.11) Client, on an Apple iMac G5 2GHz PowerPC processor, 2GB DDR SDRAM, an ATI Radeon 9600 graphics card with 128MB VRAM, a 20-inch active-matrix LCD widescreen display, and a 250GB Serial ATA hard drive... so what's your excuse, huh?

A staff for me, mainly because I could stab myself in the eye if using a longsword to cast magic.

Seems like a guy made out of rock doesn\'t need weapons.  At least, that\'s the direction I\'m going.
