Races and classes...

Are there set classes, or recommended classes for each race...like Dwarves should be warriors...etc...

Yes...I am very newb lmao...I havent even logged in yet...but I want to get as much info on this game as I can before I start.

Well, the server is down for upgrades at the moment.  We don't have a fixed class system, and players are free to choose to advance in any area(s).  Dwarves are often warriors or miners, but they can be mages if they feel like it.

You should take a look at the stickied Getting Started In-Game guide - we already have a lot of information in this forum that you can easily find, without us needing to repeat things for every new player that comes along :)

The first thing I suggest you do is read the players guide, and visit the main website. Welcome to planeshift, enjoy your stay .. I will warn you, the game is highly addicting. See you in game when the server is back up. \o/

It shouldn't take longer than 1-2 more days. I suggest that you look around the forums first to see if any of your questions have already been answered :) Also, please avoid double-posting.

So...wait...you're telling me the server is going to be down for 1-2 days?.......WAH!

Also I just finished downloading the game from the main site...and it said its corrupted...so where should I download it from now?

delete it theyre gonna put up a new client when the server is up which means itll be useless anyways i had the same problem to they mentioned a command on the error message that forces it to open however afterwards imedietly update it if you dont want a ton of bugs or something :D
