Circle of Nalaceb
« on: April 26, 2006, 10:20:48 pm »
Citizens of yliakum, i come to you with a plead for help
Our world is destroying itself,
The ballance of yliakum is threatened from all sides
It is up to us to keep it intact, help me, and you shall help yourselves
[Ok, here's the whole ideea, i'm recruiting for a new guild called the circle of nalaceb.
the point of this guild is to ensure that the proper balance will be kept in yliakum
this is NOT about power hugry conquerors, it is not about helping people directly (that would tip the balance toward good), we do help people indirectly by preserving the ballance, for as we know, nothing can exist without ballance
requirements:
1.You must be a roleplayer, must stay in character at all times and you MUST NOT POWERLEVEL, we do not tolerate powerlevelers in this guild
2.You must be prepared to do all that is in your power to preserve the proper balance
3.You must be active at least 5 hours per week
4.You must have over 18 years in RL[i have had past experiences in Planeshift with children and it was enough for me]
and 5. You must be prepared to have fun
If anyone is interested and meets the requirements, please Pm me
also, if you want more info, you can Pm me]
Remember people, nothing can exist in a world without ballance

So you believe in "ballance"... you think that it's impossible to RP if your character has levelled up... and you believe in helping people.

that's not exactly my ideea, Sherlock, actually you got it pretty much all wrong
first i DO believe in ballance, second I don't think that a player can RP whe they are camping at a rogue or glad 24/7, and third, i am AGAINST helping people at this moment, because the ballance of yliakum is too much inclined toward good allready.
And last i don't require any more interpretations or translations, thank you. I'm pretty sure the persons to whom this post is intended understand it quite well.
If you don't have anything important to say, just shut up

No attacking anyone. Everyone is free to give an opinion or their own interpretation - whether it agrees with yours or not is not a reason to avoid posting.

err... this is supposed to be advertising for the guild, and he basically just posted something else above my own post, something that is more or less the opposite of what we stand for....
imagine someone coming and just reading the last post, he would be like: "wtf? this guy claims he wants ballance and he's helping people?he can't be serious..."
[and it hapends quite a lot when people just read the last posts]
[oh and if someone wants to argue or attack me or something, please use PM's so that this advertisement will remain just that]
and now we are really going  :offtopic:

It's not off-topic to discuss a guild. I am pretty sure that you wouldn't want people in your guild that only read a single post and base their entire perception of something off of that alone, too. If you don't want people responding to your thread, ask a moderator to lock it :) However, every guild thread here is open for discussion.

You have pretty weird settings - check your profile and make sure that replies appear -below-, not above. Otherwise things will get confusing.

This is from the official Guild Discussion Rules:
Quote
Each guild or organization is limited to two threads at most - one for explaining the structure and purpose, and one for free discussion about that guild or organization. You are free to use a single thread for both functions.

Makita, I suggest you create two threads -- one for promoting your guild and ideas, and another for bashing it ;)

rule one: powerlevelers not acccepted, don't like this one, but i like the other. I think you can easily be in character if you camp a rogue. You meet people by doing so.

rule two: ok

rule three: oh come on, people have a real life to, maybe some are only active in the weekends 3 hours a week and would like to join,

rule four: that is the most ridicoulus thing i've ever heard, judging people because of their age!!! it's ooc, and ooc requirements for a guild is really not rp. And who stops someone who looks like a 30 year old but is really 16 from entering your guild. You can't demand a proof.

rule 5: of course ;)

anyways i hope you work a bit on thoose rules, to much ooc. And good luck  >o)

hmmm, you judge the mental majurity of someone by useing the physical. I could make a bet on getting you an adult that will make you have bad experiences with "RPing with adults".

No I didn't.  Read your own rules, you're saying that power levelling isn't allowed.

to be fair he did not say you must be a roleplayer, not a powerleveler he said you must be a roleplayer and you must not powerlevel. so he is distinquishing the two...

Anfa smiles remembering all the folks she met well camped at the crossroad rogue...Alleri and I became close companions over that rogue..happy sigh.. :P

5. You must be prepared to have fun

haha, after the first four rules, I'd find that hard.

Also, rule number 4 (as mentioned before) is OOC. Funny.
