runtime error
« on: July 07, 2006, 03:52:56 am »
I load up the game and it starts loading into the main city and near the end of loading an error comes up. it is a microsoft c++ visual runtime library error an dit happened in c:/ program files/ planeshift crystal blue/ psclient.exe. I already reinstalled it and that did nothing, what do I do to fix this?

No error number?  Odd.  (if you ran the updater, read this, but I don't think you did)  Post your system specs, namely your CPU, graphics card (and how much VRAM), RAM, etc.  If you have load all maps or keep all maps on, try turning that off.

the same thing happens to me too.  yesterday everything was working fine, but today after i play the game for around a minute i get a runtime error with no additional information and just an ok button.  then my computer freezes for a minute and i cant  run planeshift or any planeshift related programs until i restart. I just get this error for the setup program and client program.  this has happened 4 times today, 0 times yesterday, and 0 times the day before.

Same here,
AMD Athlon 64 3GHz

I use 512 MB ram. 768 Virtualy
Realtec AC 97 soundcard. On motherboard.
NVidea GForce 6200

I read the warning about avoiding the Arena. The errors got less when i kept away from there.
I tried to get in the game for an hour now. Don't think i played 15 mins of it, sadly.
Still think you guys do a great job, for i'm a bit low on cash lately.  >o)
